A Juht embodies the spirit of Sõrve and carries its flame forward to the next generation of elanikud.

This role calls for someone who genuinely loves working with children – patient, kind yet firm, fair, responsible, and deeply committed to ensuring every camper feels supported, included and valued.

For the full seven days of Sõrve, Juhid live and breathe camp life, working, playing and living alongside their tare members 24/7. They take responsibility for their group’s wellbeing, encourage participation and personal growth, contribute actively to the Juhtkond, and help plan and deliver a safe, engaging and meaningful program.

Juhid lead by example, creating an environment where children feel confident to challenge themselves, make new friends and embrace everything Sõrve has to offer.

Strong teamwork, initiative, adaptability, resilience, good health and a great sense of humour are all essential qualities for this rewarding leadership role.

While the week can be demanding, it is also deeply fulfilling. Few experiences offer the same opportunity to make a lasting impact on young people while forming lifelong friendships and becoming part of the living legacy that is Sõrve.
